Ruth said she would like to get married after a couple of glasses of wine!

In three words, how did you imagine your wedding day?
Love, friends, laughter
How did you choose your venue?
On an open day we shared our vision with Chrissie [Pentillie’s wedding manager] and she was so on board! A beautiful setting that suited our size of wedding.
Often the aspect that makes a wedding original to the couple is the detail/theme – tell us about the special details of the day and how you implemented them (colours, theme decorations, centre pieces, favours, photo booths, DIY etc).
A truck was the centrepiece for arrival and background which straddled the lives of the bride and her son. The table decorations were made by my bridesmaid and we had bubbles.
Were you inspired by anyone on social media? Pinterest/Instagram etc?

Please give a brief account of your wedding planning story i.e., priorities, highs & lows, challenges etc…
Any ideas we had we shared with Chrissie, she gave such help and ideas too. The emails between us were fabulous!
What food did you choose for your day, wedding breakfast and evening buffet, and why?
We had a sit down meal provided by Dish Cornwall, everything was gluten-free as the bride is coeliac.
What was the song for your first dance, and why?
You’re The One That I Want - from Grease!
We wanted fun and decided making a fool of ourselves for 3 minutes was worth it!
What was your favourite part of the wedding?
Everything! The build-up, the arrival, the emotion of the ceremony, the crazy golf! The joy of friends and family enjoying themselves.
What was the most important investment for you? For example, food, drink, clothes, honeymoon?
Probably venue and being able to all stay together.
What is your top tip for other couples?
Relax and don’t stress the little details, no one will know if it wasn’t absolutely right!
