Marry inside or out - the choice is yours!
We are delighted to be able to offer couples the opportunity to legally marry at numerous indoor and outdoor locations across the estate.
Capacities for these locations vary, allowing a huge choice for ceremonies of all sizes.
We are in Cornwall however, and boringly you do need an official wet weather option for a registrar-led ceremony, so please also choose an indoor space as your back up plan, or talk to us about a canopy or marquee as ‘back up’ for an outdoor setting.
Wisteria Pavilion
When the wisteria blooms, the Pavilion provides a truly scent-sational backdrop for couples to marry.
Guests can be seated on the Old Tennis Lawn looking at you under the wisteria, or small weddings of up to 60 guests can join you under the pavilion itself.
Castle Loggia
The loggia offers a truly grand setting with beautiful views across the River Tamar, seating up to 120 guests.
This is also where a marquee adjoins the Castle for our marquee tariff.
Bathing Hut
Exchange your vows beside the River Tamar in the charming Victorian Bathing Hut. The perfect location for your ceremony whether small or large, seating up to 60 guests.
This picturesque setting is great for all Pentillie wedding packages and makes for a fantastic, romantic wet-weather plan B.
The Front Lawn
With our historic Castle as your backdrop, the lawn is yours to style as you have always dreamed. Like David and Ruth, you can even bring your wedding ‘car’ into the landscape!
Get creative and arrange the guests seating in a spiral across the lawn, giving you an extraordinary aisle! Seating up to 200 guests.
Lime Avenue
Say your ‘I Do’s’ in the long stretch of linden trees in the majestic Lime Avenue. One of our couples’ most desired spots for photographs and a favourite amongst our photographers.
Why not walk up an aisle of your guests standing either side of this natural framework for a truly stunning ceremony.
Stone Circle
Marry at the highest point on the estate, with incredible views across the Tamar Valley and to Dartmoor. Perfect for adventurous couples looking to add a truly natural and ‘historic’ element to their special day.
Seating up to 200 guests, imagine the drone shots of your ceremony up here.
Dining Room
The heart of the Castle, our elegant Dining Room boasts with far-reaching views across the Tamar Valley. Seating up to 80, your guests will enjoy the gorgeous views stretching across our beautiful terrace from the Dining Room.
Should you wish to host your reception in the Dining Room, we will allocate enough time to transform the space ready for your and your guests to dance the night away. Or make full use of the Castle with a marquee on the Loggia or the Old Tennis Lawn for your reception.
The Old Tennis Lawn
Couples can now choose to marry anywhere on the lawn. The herbaceous borders, the rhododendrons and wisteria, the river views and our country castle, are all options for your backdrop.

Under the Turkey Oak
Wed beside the River Tamar with spectacular views across the Tamar Valley, under the magnificent Turkey Oak. A perfect mix of country, charm and cheer.
Open grassland seating for up to 200 guests. Watch out for the otters, ospreys and lapwings.
American Gardens
Take your vows surrounded by the grand rhododendrons and bluebells in the historic American Gardens. A gorgeous setting for a smaller outdoor ceremony.
Step access makes this area less accessible than other parts of the gardens. Seating for up to 120 guests depending on furniture chosen.
Drawing Room
The Drawing Room provides a relaxed atmosphere with large sofas to seat your guests. Combining luxury, comfort, and a touch of history, this timeless space is ideal to gather your nearest and dearest.
Seat up 18 your loved ones to create a truly unforgettable, intimate experience.
Walled Gardens
With the Victorian greenhouses (as featured in Sky One’s Delicious) as your backdrop, the Walled Gardens offer a very intimate and rustic ceremony location. If you are lucky, you may even be joined by one of the estate peacocks too!
These sloping gardens offer a truly unique setting for your ceremony. Seating would depend on the exact spot you choose to say ‘I do’.
The Orchards
Surrounding the Walled Gardens are the beautiful apple orchards. With a bed of vibrant daffodils spread across the lawns in the Spring, this setting is full of natural colours and beauty.
Choose to marry amongst the trees, in the walk ways or beside the garden walls, with seating for up to 200 guests.
