Equality & Discrimination Policy
Equal opportunities & Discrimination statement
The Company is committed to promoting equal opportunities. All employees, clients and suppliers will receive equal treatment regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, race or colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation (the 'Protected Characteristics').
We are committed to an environment in which all individuals can operate free from discrimination or harassment. The principles of non-discrimination and equality of opportunity also apply to the way in which we treat all visitors, clients, guests, suppliers and team members both past and present.
Everyone at Pentillie is expected to act in accordance with this policy and treat everyone with dignity at all times, not to discriminate against, or harass anyone regardless of their status. This policy also applies to our terms of employment and recruitment process.
Disabilities
If you are disabled or become disabled, we encourage you to tell us about your condition so that we can ensure your stay, work placement or wedding can continue as seamlessly as possible.
Part-time and fixed-term work
Part-time and fixed-term employees should be treated the same as comparable full-time or permanent employees and enjoy no less favourable terms and conditions (on a pro-rata basis where appropriate), unless different treatment is justified.
Breaches of this policy
We take a strict approach to breaches of this policy, which will be dealt with without prejudice. If you believe that you have suffered discrimination you can raise the matter directly with business owner Sammie Coryton. Complaints will be treated in confidence and investigated as appropriate. You will not be victimised or retaliated against for complaining about discrimination. However, making a false allegation deliberately and in bad faith will be treated as misconduct and dealt with accordingly.
