What a way to kickstart autumn!

Let’s catch up…

We had a fantastic start to autumn at Pentillie! At the beginning of September, we received a unique Cornwall 500 plaque from Steven Webb. Steven embarked on a 500-mile journey around Cornwall in his wheelchair, celebrating Cornwall's rich heritage and promoting accessibility, while raising money for Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust. The plaque is due to be added to Sir James Tillie's 'bottom' very soon.

We are also thrilled to share that we have been selected as one of the finalists in the Wedding Venue of the Year category at this year's Cornwall Tourism Awards. As you can imagine, we can't wait to celebrate this November in the beautiful Truro Cathedral! Make sure you follow our socials and keep your eyes peeled for the results.

Tremendously generous coffee morning!

We hosted our annual charity coffee morning this month on Thursday 19th September, once again in aid of The Mustard Tree Cancer Support Centre at Derriford. The Mustard Tree provide vital support for anyone affected by cancer at any stage of their journey (this includes partners, parents and children of cancer patients).

The morning was a fabulously sunny day filled with delicious treats and delightful conversations. A huge thanks to all those who came along in support of the event and donated both cakes, money and time. We are very happy to share that an incredible £1,831 was raised!

This money will go towards hampers for those using the Mustard Tree - we try to fill the hampers with local goodies - food, toiletries, cosy items such as scarves and mittens and even books. Any inspiration or local recommendations will be gratefully received.

You can still donate here!

Carols in the Courtyard

Tuesday 10th December | 6pm

Join us to support the Saltash Foodbank, as the Cargreen choir lead us in festive tunes on Tuesday 10th December!

If you have attended Carols in the Courtyard previously, you will know that parking can be quite a challenge. To keep things running smoothly this year, we are introducing a small fee of £5 per vehicle (all proceeds from parking will be donated to the charity).

Please note that parking tickets are limited to ensure event satisfaction so book yours early and car share - we don't mind how many of you come in each car!

Winter Availability

Unusually both Christmas and New Year are still available.

How about opening presents in front of the open fire in the Drawing Room, and wrangling with a 12 foot Christmas Tree at the bottom of the stairs.  Which fireplace would you choose to hang your stocking, or leave mince pies out for Father Christmas? Fortunately there's plenty of space outside too, so even if you are far from home, you needn't worry about where the reindeer can land the sleigh.

With 11 bedrooms, multiple reception rooms and 55 acres to explore we can help you plan a bespoke stay like no other. Christmas, Twixmas and New Year dates all available.

Four night self-catered stays available from £9,200.
