Immerse yourself in the Pentillie Gardens this May, and enjoy the dazzling display of hydrangeas, azaleas, and camellias flourishing within the American Gardens. Follow the meandering pathways, where a tapestry of bluebells, wildflowers, foxgloves, and aquilegias lead you to the tranquil apple and cherry orchards.
As you meander through the grounds, keep a lookout for the diverse wildlife that calls Pentillie home. With the help of Dave Scott, a qualified ornithologist, and a team of certified bird ringers and netters, over 120 bird boxes have been installed throughout the estate. These nesting nooks provide shelter and safety for various species, contributing to a thriving ecosystem.
Whether you're drawn to the vibrant colours under the sun's rays or the contrasting beauty of a cloudy day, Pentillie's gardens promise a rejuvenating retreat, come rain or shine.
Swimming Pool Hire…
We're delighted to continue offering our Friends the unique opportunity to exclusively hire the Pentillie pool. Set within its own tranquil and idyllic walled garden, our pool is available to those seeking a refreshing swim or simply wanting to relax.
Important information:
- Available to hire in 1hr blocks.
- Priced at £25 per hour.
- Min 2 people, max 6.
- No lone swimming.
- The lead person must read and sign a waiver form on arrival at the Pentillie office, and sign out on departure.
- The lead person is responsible for all members of their party.
- Pool must be used for recreational purposes only.
- Lead hirer MUST BE a Friend of Pentillie member.
General Information:
- The pool is 4.8m x 9.4m.
- The deepest point is 1.9m.
- Small changing room, no shower.
- WC in courtyard next to office.
- NO glass allowed pool side.
- Drinks and snacks may be brought with you.
- Pool toys may be used. If punctures occur, let us know.
- Loungers, picnic tables and sun-umbrellas available for use.
- Please tidy up after use.
- Water temperature (solar heated) is 17 degrees at time of writing.
